First opening in 1917, Dallas Love Field Airport has grown to become the Southwest Airlines headquarters, seeing thousands of passengers per day. In 2009, the Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) was created to accommodate the expected increase in traffic as a result of the release of the Wright Amendment in October 2014, allowing nonstop flights from Love Field across the U.S.
LFMP hired K Strategies Group to manage public relations and public affairs efforts. As part of the team, I managed, designed and wrote the quarterly stakeholder newsletter, drafted press releases, and managed media relations and planning for the 250-person public art gallery opening as part of the Love Field Art Program.
