Aloft & Element Boston Seaport District

Located in Boston’s newest neighborhood, the Seaport District, the Aloft and Element hotels opened in early 2016. As part of Starwood-Marriott’s specialty select brands, the Aloft and Element hired Mower in late 2016 to increase brand awareness among locals and launch the world’s first voice-activated hotel rooms.

As part of the team, I managed media relations for the product launch, securing more than 45 pieces of coverage resulting in millions of impressions in a wide-range of publications such as the Boston Globe, MeetingsNet and BGR. In August 2017, the Element brand host its inaugural Element Exchange for Secondhand Wardrobe Day, using the Boston property as the brand’s model event. For the event, I managed media and influencer relations, inviting more than 150 bloggers and reporters, resulting in 100+ million media impressions from pre- and post- event coverage.

As the day-to-day client contact, I lead creative brainstorming for packages and promotions, review advertising packages with local news media, assist in developing partnerships with other brands and agencies, lead the social media influencer strategy and execution, and occasionally manage social media messaging and accounts.
